Dr. Hassan wins prestigious book award

On January 21, 2017, when Paul Bryan Gray presented Dr. Hassan with the 2016 Donald H. Pflueger book award, the most prestigious award given by the Historical Society of Southern California he said This book is a monument to Loren Miller that will be invaluable to future historians . . . it will stand for many many years to come." He added that her biography, Loren Miller: Civil Rights Attorney and Journalist is “Absolutely Superb.”  Mr. Gray, an attorney and author of Clamor for Equality, is an at-large board member of the HSSC, the oldest historical society in California. HSSC was founded in 1883.
